Piernico Solinas was the 2nd Unit Director, or the Asst. Director on Caligula, and may have operated other cameras during multiple camera scenes, or he also may have shot certian scenes on his own. After the shooting was done at the end of 1976, Piernico found himself out of work.
In 1981 he returned, this time as an author. He wrote the book, "The Ultimate Porno: The Making of a sex Colossal". It was said that the book was ghost written for him. This book tells all about the making of Caligula, and is a highly sought after item.
In 1991 Piernico wrote and directed the movie, "Touch and Die". He has been quiet ever since. |
